PAX East Here I Come

So, it is that time of year again. Conventions. I love them. At some point I hope to have content and merchandise to share at one of these. Stay tuned for the release of my first novel, Laila's Tome: A Vision's Dawn
But I digress. I am super excited for PAX East 2019. I am ready for the road trip from NY to Boston. I am ready for all the interesting panels that I hopefully will get to experience. I am ready for all the merch I can't wait to buy (I have a little bit of a dice obsession) but most importantly I can not wait to share the experience with my friends and make new ones while I am there. Also, the food. Bring on the seafood.
This year I am really looking forward to two panel discussions in particular. First, An Introverts Guide to Networking where we will discuss the importance of making real world connections. I tend to suck at this as I am sometimes very shy. Hopefully I will learn some tips to help me get out of my shell. Second, A Seat for Everyone: Inclusivity and RPG's. This panel is to help learn tips and tricks to make the game table more welcoming to diversity, more accepting of differences, and more fun for everyone involved. We are all different, but those differences are what make life special. Can't we all just pull up to the table and play and RPG (Role Playing Game, ex. dungeons and dragons) and have the best time ever.
Along with all of this I get to enjoy the convention with my best friends. Work and life get in the way sometimes but this is an opportunity for us to come together and nerd out all weekend. Who doesn't love that? Embrace geek culture, pick up a board game, play a video game, lean into some sci-fi or fantasy. There is a fandom for everyone.
